Previous L2A Events
The London2Atlanta Network has had several successful, well-attended events in both Atlanta and London. At our most recent Atlanta event, the London2Atlanta Network's Ambassadorial Brilliance Award was presented to the Mayor of Atlanta, the Honorable Kasim Reed and was accepted on his behalf by the Mayor's Chief of Staff, Ms. Candace Byrd. The award was presented to the Mayor in recognition of his "genuine, unwavering dedication to civil service for the revitalization of the City of Atlanta and for an exemplary international representation of the City of Atlanta to the United Kingdom, including His Royal Highness,The Prince of Wales".
Member and guests of the London2Atlanta Network made new connections with members of several Atlanta area international organizations as well as local business owners. The evening's events included an interactive "True Londoner's" Contest with prize giveaways as well as a raffle drawing with special gifts for the winners. Delicious hors d'oeuvres were served. British Jazz & Soul Vocalist, Julie Dexter was in attendance and gave the audience an impromptu performance from her newly released album "New Again".
Last year, we had our UK Launch Soirée at The Bentley Hotel in London's exclusive Kensington/Knightsbridge neigbourhood—what a fantastic night! At each of our primary events, many new introductions are made and members and guests enjoy an interactive ambiance with non-typical networking and an unusual mix of entertainment.
